The Vikasa School at Tuticorin a Unit of PSTS
Foundation was established in June 1996 with the motto. Aim high, Strive,
Achieve in the fast developing port town. The Vikasa is the brain child of a group of noble minded
visionaries
The cardinal objective of the school is the
impart quality education and infuse ethical values in the learning process to
mould students with wisdom and knowledge that transcends all barriers. With a
humble biggening soon the school grew into a group of institutions. Today we
have three branches.
The Vikasa (CISCE) School, Millerpuram,
Tuticorin, which is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate
Examination, New Delhi.
The Vikasa (CBSE) School, Sawyerpuram,
Tuticorin, which is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New
Delhi,
The Vikasa (Sainik) School, Sawyerpuram,
Tuticorin, which is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New
Delhi and Sainik School Society,
Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.
Vikasa has traversed 29 progressive years
with relentless perseverance and zeal and is today adorned with that wreath of
laudable laurels in various fields. Academic pursuits hinged with personality
development have been the quintessence of Vikasa. As a school, it has made a
host of decisions from time to time, thereby making the role of the institution
specific, humanistic, futuristic and student-centred. The untrammelled
enthusiasm and dedication of the management, staff, students and their parents
have jointly contributed to the crowning glory of the school.
School has etched its name in this town by
achieving various national and international accolades. The school is an ISO certified institution. Vikasa
School has been recognised for
Outstanding Development of the International Dimension in the curriculum by the
British Council International School Award 2025
- 2028. Vikasa School is a participant in the Oxford Quality Programme
for the year 2025 – 26. And Students of Vikasa have carved a niche for
themselves in their chosen fields such as Engineering, Medicine and Management
at various institutions including IIT’s & IIM’s thus proving that Vikasa is
indeed a conducive training ground for academic and non - academic pursuits.
The Academic Council comprises of the
Principal, Vice Principals, Headmistress and the Co-ordinators. The school has a
prefectural system comprising the School Captain, Vice-Captain, House Captains
and the Class Monitors. The entire school is divided into four houses and all
the internal competitions are held among the four houses. The school gives
ample scope for personality development by conducting as many 28 Co-curricular
and Extra-curricular activities. School provides space for joyful learning.

Physics Lab
This lab provides the necessary equipment required to study physical science. With good ventilation and light sources, the student can perform research, be it Spectrum Analysis or Measurement of Focal Length.Length.
Chemistry Lab
This laboratory is truly a chemist's. It provides a protective atmosphere for practicals. The solutions and reagents are carefully labeled and are used by the students only under the teacher's supervision.
Biology Lab
This laboratory has all the specimens as required by the CISCE, New Delhi, and the Higher Secondary Authorities. It is spacious and has the necessary facilities for the perfect biology laboratory.
Maths Lab
Maths does not confine itself to scratching on paper & graffiti on walls. The practical applications of mathematics ranges from the ordinary rangoli in front of our house to the satellite that hovers around the earth. Understanding this, the school has tiny equipments emphasizing the usage of maths in practical spheres.
AI & Robotics Lab
Our state-of-the-art Robotics Lab is a hub of innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning. Equipped with advanced robotics kits, programmable machines, the lab inspires students to explore the exciting world of automation and artificial intelligence.
ComputerLab
Our Computer Laboratory is equipped with modern systems and high-speed internet to support hands-on learning in technology. Students explore coding, digital tools, and research under the guidance of efficient teachers. The lab fosters digital skills and innovation, preparing students for the world of technology.
